Yves St Laurent at Gladys Gladrags Wardrobe

In 1966 Paris coutourier Yves St Laurent launched his ready-to-wear line Rive Gauche , meaning “left bank”, left of the Seine , the place of abode for young bohemians and artists at the time.
In 1971 he launched a perfume of the same name. The packaging of Rive Gauche quickly became iconic and the electric blue colour was used in the advertising campaign for the perfume.
Gladys Gladrags has found a beautiful, authentic 1970's Yves St Laurent wool jacket in the iconic shade of electric blue with black trim.

Sadly it doesn't fit me so it's in the shop and it's wonderful.

This Yves St Laurent post is interesting. I don't know if you looked at my blog when I had Le Jardin Majorelle in Marrakech ,it belonged to YSL, but the walls were all painted this blue.
