Unfortunately these photographs just aren't very good, they don't do justice to the clothing.
The lighting is awful, as is the background.
It's been casung me a lot of angst.
But the other day I listed the above skirt anyway and guess what?
It's sold within a couple of days or so.
The moral?
Well obviously we need to get the best photographs possible but maybe it's better to get stock in the shop, even with a less than perfect photograph, than to sit around wondering how to improve the photographs and not offer the items for sale.
I entirely agree...or sit about blog reading.....
ReplyDeleteHi Gladys,
ReplyDeleteFunny you should say that...I attended a business seminar last year and one of the sessions was "Go Ugly Early".
Like you just wrote, it meant that we need to put our business out there, even if everything is not exactly perfect yet.
They added a tag line of, "but don't stay ugly", meaning that we should keep improving and perfecting as we go.
It was a great lesson for me. :)
